meet the team!

Amandeep Paul (she/they) FounderAmandeep is a 20-year-old University student from the UK. You will usually find her sitting in a position that will hurt her back for eight hours at her desk or playing card games too aggressively with her housemates. When she’s not doing that, she’s either watching Ginger Snaps for the twentieth time or listening to the Sad Bops Spotify playlist. She created Denouement because she wanted to create a space for creative POC to express themselves and build a portfolio for themselves.

Amandeep Paul (she/her)
Founding Editor

Amandeep is a 24-year-old from the UK. Having recently graduated with a BA in Film Studies and History, she is currently working (very slowly) towards a career in art history. She created True Blue Magazine because she wanted to create a space for BIPOC creatives to express themselves and build a portfolio for themselves.

Roshini SK (she/her) Staff WriterRoshini is a 21-year old fledgling writer hailing from Singapore. When she’s not working, you can find her knee-deep in mystery books or churning out a think piece on a whim on whatever topic that has tickled her fickle brain that day.

Roshini SK (she/her)
Staff Writer

Roshini is 23 years old - still a fledgling writer but weighed down with the oppressive forces of capitalism (she works as a chemist) and is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Communications. Her work delves into the realms of jarring poetry and short fic & non-fic stories with underlying themes of family, being a brown woman, and feminism. When she isn’t subjecting herself to mental torture (Valorant), she’s either doing homework or reading a book. She is currently on hiatus.

Aamna Shezhad (she/her)
Staff Writer & Editor

Aamna is a 21-year-old amateur creative writer from Pakistan. She has been living in South Korea for eight years and is currently double majoring in Political Science & International Relations and Comparative Literature & Culture. When she finds time, Aamna likes to escape the reality of frustrating national politics, corporate capitalism, and modern-day colonialism to write fantasy and surrealist poems and stories on any topic that comes to mind. She is still working on how to condense her chaotic, muddled thoughts into legible writing, but when she feels confident enough, Aamna likes to write about interpersonal relationships, mental health and anxiety, and experiences with racism, stigmatization, and alienation. When not trying to catch up on course readings, Aamna spends her time drawing, reading, and watching anime.

Yasmin Safieddine (she/her)
Staff Writer

Yasmin is a 20-year-old from the UK studying Film at University. Her dream is to create films that broadcast the voices of marginalised communities. Like her short films, Yasmin’s poems and short stories revolve around her turbulent relationships, including with her identity. In her spare time you can find her combing through Pinterest, scrolling endlessly on TikTok or curled up with a book (usually centred around Greek mythology).
